The four modes, explained
Saneurai ships with four modes. They share one memory and one account, but each is a discipline of its own. Here is when to reach for which.
Voice — when your hands are busy
Real-time speech in, spoken answers out. Voice mode learns your speaking pace and vocabulary — your lexicon biases transcription toward the names and terms you actually use. It is the mode for cooking, driving-adjacent questions, and thinking out loud.
Personal — the second mind
Your notes, reminders, and the memory vault. Everything the assistant remembers about you — preferences, context, rapport — lives in the vault, grouped by category, and deletable item by item. Reminders fire on time and snooze gracefully.
Research — questions that deserve depth
Ask for an investigation, not an answer. Research mode runs a multi-source pipeline, weighs the evidence, and produces a report you can download as PDF or Markdown. Sources included, always.
Work — where things get done
A workbench: code editor, terminal (real PTY sessions), and a controllable browser. On top of it sits a colony of agents that can plan and execute multi-step work — inside approval gates you define. Nothing ships without your sign-off unless you have explicitly granted autonomy.
One account, four disciplines
Switch modes from the top navigation. Memory travels with you: tell Personal mode your project naming scheme and Work mode already knows it. That continuity — one mind, four blades — is the point.
